Under-the-Bed Sale - an art exhibition in Bingley

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and you have a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

The Bingley Gallery on Park Road, Bingley is having an Under-the-Bed Sale starting this Saturday 14th January from 12 noon to 6 p.m. and all are welcome.

The details are here at www.thebingleygallery.com (click on the link and scroll down the page). The show includes some my artwork alongside various other artists including the work of Jane Fielder - the gallery owner. Work includes paintings, textiles and sculpture from £5.

Bradford Before the Hole - a middle section

Good news! The original pen drawing of 'Bradford Before the Hole' was sold at the launch exhibition of the new offices and website of Fabric - Forum for the arts in Bradford in Little Germany - click on the image to see a bigger version. The 'Made in Bradford' exhibition comprised 21 artists and photographers work, inspired by the Bradford district. The new office space is lovely and in a great situation opposite Bradford Cathedral.

I'd already sold 5 pieces of work, including two prints from the Bradford picture, from the Bradford Chamber exhibition (more available of the limited edition print). What with the 'Wedding of the Year' in August, I've had a good summer!

Anyway, many thanks to artist and printmaker June Russell junejrussell.co.uk, Gideon Seymour of Fabric and Richard Sara-Gray of Bradford Chamber for making all this possible.

Masks to terrorise the Imps of Sickness

My new exhibition will be opening on Friday 8th July at Bradford Chamber Business Park, New Lane, Laisterdyke BD4 8BX Tel:01274 660018. The opening hours are 9am to 4.30pm (every weekday) and the show is there until 31st August 2011.

I've added another picture above, very different from the previous one, this time it's a drypoint etching as opposed to watercolour. Click on the image to see a bigger version. Please note. I have had to amend the dates in the previous post for the opening times and the date 'the show' finishes. The opening times are 8pm to 5pm and the show finishes today at Bradford Chamber of Commerce on the 5th July. It then opens at the Bradford Chamber Business Park on the 8th July. Bradford before the Hole

Exhibition in Bradford

Starting my blog with news of my exhibition in Bradford Chamber of Commerce. I got the 'gig' after a 'Jelly' meeting where I met a Bradford Chamber member who was interested in my large (A2) pen drawing 'Bradford Before the Hole'. Above is the middle section - click on the image to see a bigger version.

Bradford Chamber has started 'Chamber Art' which is a changing exhibition of both art and photography. In my exhibition, alongside the Bradford picture, there is a range of work both old and new, reflecting my interests and concerns. At the moment the exhibition is in Bradford Chamber Exchange in Vicar Lane, Little Germany, open weekdays 8 - 5.00. The last day will be the 5th July. The exhibition will then move to the Bradford Chamber Business Park in Laisterdyke and will be open from the 8th July, weekdays 9 - 4.30 and will be there till end of August.
